In the past few days, Hansi Flick has not called the complete list of the more than 50 potential World Cup drivers officially registered with Fifa to personally tell each gentleman whether he is allowed to travel to the global football fair or not. But he has already taken on the difficult cases himself, a matter for the boss. And that there were some unpleasant phone calls, that’s what the national coach let know again and again on Thursday during the presentation of his World Cup squad.
