France-Australia: the Blues with an Upamecano-Konaté hinge and Dembélé in attack

The first composition of the France team is rarely the one that ends a World Cup. In the meantime, Didier Deschamps has chosen an offensive card this Tuesday evening against Australia (kick-off at 8 p.m.) with four players born to destabilize a defense. In the absence of Karim Benzema, Olivier Giroud occupies the point of the attack. Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé will be in charge of leading the wings … but also of providing defensive withdrawals.

A role that Antoine Griezmann will also have to assume. The Atlético Madrid warrior is about to put on a new costume in Blue for this first match of the 2022 World Cup. Playmaker in the offensive phase (4-3-3), lower on the defensive phases alongside Rabiot and Chuameni (4-2-3-1).

The Blues are advancing without many benchmarks in this device. Compared to the start of the competition in 2018 against this same opponent, there are six new outfield players in the eleven. The central hinge is known to be eagerly awaited. Dayot Upamecano and Ibrahim Konaté have never played together in selection and will have, from the height of their nine combined selections (seven and two), to neutralize the Socceroos.

The composition: Lloris (c) – Pavard, Konaté, Upamecano, L. Hernandez – Rabiot, Tchouaméni- Dembélé, Giroud, Mbappé.
