Phil Foden managed to equalize for the defending champions in injury time in the first half (45+1). In stoppage time, however, the “Citizens” slipped at least one point through their fingers.

After three wins in a row, Manchester City suffered their second defeat of the season and could be five points behind Arsenal at the end of the day. The Gunners visit Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday. Brentford, on the other hand, celebrated their fourth win of the season thanks to Toney and consolidated their place in midfield.
