Foals and Panthers define champion of Sabana Grande de Boyá

This Saturday at 8:00 pm the Colts of Pueblo Arriba and Panteras del Ensanche Escolar will define which of the two will be the champion of the XII Tournament of balloon top Great Savannah of BoyáBanreservas Cup 2022.

The match will be played at the Fidel Mejía Sports Center.

The Panthers, who have won the crown six times and the Colts only once, will play the fifth game of a series that is tied 2-2

The last time the six-timers won was in 2009 and their rivals in 2007.

The Colts won the first game 91-76 with 29 points from Brayan Polanco. Panteras tied for second, led by 38 points from Alfredo Reyes. He then won the third to put the series 2-1, thanks to Andy Lachapel’s offense with 39 points.

The Colts tied the series on October 30, led by Antony de la Rosa’s 27 points.

The general entrance to the facility for this fifth game has a cost of 50 pesos per person.

The tournament had not been held for 14 years, but thanks to the management of the organizing committee chaired by Víctor Pichardo and which includes different personalities from this municipality, such as Primitivo Cadete, Humberto Vílchez, John Contreras, Félix Santana and Juan López.

The tournament has the support of the Presidency of the Republic, Banreservas, Airport Department, Civil Aviation Institute, Grupo Punta Cana, Cerveza Canita, Teruel & Compañía, Cooperativa La Candelaria, Municipal Council of Great Savannah of BoyáMinistry of Sports, the Dominican Federation of Baloncesto and Deputy Pedro Tineo.
