First women’s CSB derby

The CSB Infantil Feminino A and the CSB Hospital Latorre will play on Sunday, at 12:00 at the Polideportivo San Andrés, the first derby of the season between two of the teams from the lower sections of Club Soria Baloncesto.

Neither the group led by Marta Giaquinta nor the squad trained by Laia González and Judit Verde have so far achieved any victory in the Second Division Women’s Autonomous Children’s Championship.

These will be the only teams from the Club Soria Basketball academy that will play at the Polideportivo San Andrés on the first weekend of November and will star in the first of the twelve duels between teams from the same entity that will be played throughout the present campaign.

The existence of two federated women’s teams in the women’s children’s category is a clear example of the growth experienced by the Soria Basketball Club in recent campaigns.

Only eight of the players who last season already competed in a federated form at the regional level continue in the children’s category.

But the incorporation of another eleven girls -from the Nursery School or from abroad- throughout last summer motivated the Soria Basketball Club to register a second team in the Children’s Autonomous Championship Women’s Second Division and encourages 19 players born in 2009 or later to now practice basketball in a regulated manner.

It is up to the seven men’s teams to travel this weekend and the other two women’s will rest (the CSB Júnior Martínez and Tríbez and the CSB Cadete Caja Rural de Soria).

Five of the teams that will play as visitors will play their games on Saturday afternoon in Burgos. The CSB Infantil Masculine B will play on the Maristas field, at 4:00 p.m., and the CSB Cadete Caja Rural de Soria B, at 6:00 p.m.

The team of Gonzalo de Domingo and José Javier Carnicero won their last game at home and their rival on Saturday has yet to win. The cadets of Julio Pérez, whose rivals have already beaten the CSB Caja Rural de Soria C in the San Andrés, have not released their locker of victories either.

The CSB Cadete Caja Rural de Soria A, at 4:15 p.m., and the CSB Infantil Masculine A and CSB Júnior Campofrío A, will play simultaneously at 6:15 p.m. in the Basket Pisones fiefdom. Rubén Sanz’s cadets -two wins and one loss- start as favorites against Basket Pisones. Rubén Martínez’s juniors will fight for their second victory against a team that has lost all their matches and the juniors from CSB Campofrío A, also with Rubén Sanz as coach, count their matches by victories and are at the top of the table. Neither does CSB Campofrío B know defeat, which will play, at 4:15 p.m., in Aldeamayor (Valladolid), against La Salle Muebles Carlos Pastor.

the squad of Jesus Sotoin which Marc Isern plays, the academy player who debuted in the First Division last Saturday, has prevailed in all his matches and the Pucelanos lost the only one they have played so far.

On Sunday, at 4:00 p.m. in Palencia, Sergio Mayor’s CSB Cadete Caja Rural de Soria C will come into action, paying a visit to an Adarsa Maristas B that has been intractable in the first month of competition.

The eleven teams of the Soria Basketball Club that participate in the Second Division Autonomous Championships of the different categories are joined by the two pre-children, the CSB Trebia and the CSB Hospital Latorre, who will have to wait until January to compete again in the Autonomous Championship of the category.
