It was expected, and it will soon be official: Reece James (22 years old, 15 selections) will not play the World Cup (from November 20 to December 18, editor’s note) with England. Very uncertain since a knee injury contracted with Chelsea against Milan (2-0) in mid-October, the versatile right side has failed to recover in time and therefore forfeits the World Cup, Sky Sports announced on Wednesday. England coach Gareth Southgate will reveal his list on Thursday.
As a reminder, England are in Group B with Iran, the United States and Wales.
