Energetic first day of the Faulcombridge Ciudad de Valencia ATP Challenger Cup

VALENCIA. The Faulcombridge Ciudad de Valencia Cup, organized by the Valencia Tennis Club, with its Challenger ATP men’s tournament, directed by Pablo Andújar, kicked off this Sunday with the first day of the preliminary qualifying round for the final draw of the tournament men’s tennis, which will have the participation of 32 players in the individual draw and 16 couples in the doubles.

Simultaneously, the sixth edition of the $80,000 women’s ITF Pro will be held, under the direction of Ana Salas, giving shape to a major week of tennis.
Intense matches have been played throughout this first day of the tournament. After their corresponding clashes they go to the second round Ivan Gaklov who will face Andrey Chepelev tomorrow Monday; Alessandro Giannessi who will do the same with the Spanish Álvaro López. For their part, the Italians Giovanni Fonio and Gian Marco will face each other in this second round, after winning their corresponding matches.

For their part, they also went to the next round Salvatore Caruso and Rudolf Molleker who will face each other for a pass to the next phase. The Spanish Javier Barranco will do it against Moez Echargui. Finally they passed the round and the Spanish Eduard Esteve and Pablo Llamas will face each other.
During the week of the Faulcombridge Cup, under the umbrella of which the ITF women’s and Challenger ATP tournaments are played, there will be different clinics with the sponsors and with the players of the tournament. There will also be a day to raise awareness of tennis adapted to the three disabilities: Chair tennis, intellectual disability and tennis for blind people. An activity will also be developed in which the children of the club’s schools will be able to ask their questions to the tennis players of the event.
