Emma Raducanu was officially made a Member of the Order of the British Empire during a ceremony held at Windsor Castle.
The 20-year-old was named to the 2022 New Year’s Honors List for services to tennis after taking the 2021 US Open as a qualifier and ultimately received its mention from King Carlos III.
At just 18 years old and ranked 150th in the world, the Romanian-born tennis player won ten matches without dropping a set to pass the rankings and winning the US Open in only his fourth professional tournament.
