Ecuador beats Qatar, Valencia becomes a star

Ecuador managed to beat Qatar with a score of 2-0 in the first game World Cup 2022 with Enner Valencia being the winning star through two goals.

Qatar met Ecuador in the opening match of the 2022 World Cup at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor, on Sunday (20/11) evening WIB.

Ecuador immediately appear kicked off since the early minutes. In the third minute, Ecuador managed to shake the nets after Enner Valencia’s goal. Unfortunately Valencia’s goal was disallowed by the referee because it was deemed offside.

Ecuador kept trying to launch attacks through direct balls to Valencia as the targetman.

In the 16th minute awarded a penalty after Qatar goalkeeper Saad Al Sheeb fouled Valencia in the penalty box. Valencia as the executioner successfully carried out his duties perfectly. Ecuador won 1-0 over Qatar.

Valencia again became a scourge for the Qatar defense after scoring the second goal in the 32nd minute. This time Valencia scored a goal with a header after following Angelo Preciado’s bait.

There were no additional goals until the first half ended. Ecuador won 2-0 over Qatar in the first half.

In the second half Ecuador still controlled the game. Ecuador had a good chance in the 54th minute through Romario Ibarra’s shot which was still blocked by the Qatar goalkeeper.

Qatar got the best chance in the 85th minute through Mohammed Muntari’s hard kick. But Muntari’s shot still slid swiftly over the Ecuador crossbar.

Until the game ended no additional goals were created. Ecuador won over Qatar 2-0.

Qatar’s next match schedule will face Senegal on Friday (25/11). Meanwhile, Ecuador will face the Netherlands on Friday (25/11).
