EA Sports College Football won’t be released until 2024

Since 2014 away from video games, EA Sports College Football’s big comeback will take a little longer. According to the vice president and general manager of EA Sports, Daryl Holt, the title arrives in 2024 only for the new generation of consoles – PS5, Xbox Series X | S and, possibly, PC.

Holt explained to ESPN that this is the best window for the sports game to return. He believes the tempo will “meet or exceed player expectations and cover the breadth and scale required for the game.”

That’s the best date we can think of to bring the game back that will meet or exceed player expectations and cover the breadth and scale of what we want in EA Sports College Football. We’re trying to build a very immersive college football experience.

The new EA Sports College Football may be being developed based on the Madden graphics engine. The title will also have a playoffs expanded, where up to 12 FBS teams will face each other, as reported by The Athletic.

FBS rights secured for EA Sports College Football

Holt also stated that EA Sports College Football has already secured the rights to all FBS conferences and the playoffs of college football in the US — about 134 teams.

We hope more schools will join, but we can only commit to what we have right now.
