Karlos Vémola reacts indignantly to Patrik Kincl’s words. He expressed himself at the Octagon in September in the sense that the Czech Terminator, after jumping into the cage after the fresh coronation of the champion, rather harms domestic MMA.
Will Oktagon 38 in Prague’s O2 Arena end the end of an MMA story?
Prague’s O2 Arena will see the culmination of this MMA year on its home stage at the end of December. In the main event of the Oktagon 38 gala evening, two champions of the organization and irreconcilable rivals will face each other.
Middleweight king Patrik Kincl defends his belt for the second time. The light heavyweight champion Karlos Vémola is circling the middleweight waters after less than two years and has longed for a second belt.

Now the two rivals met in the Octagon show Face to Face and the viewers were definitely not bored. They clashed several times during the interview. The terminator was most enraged at Patrik Kincl’s statement that Vémola is rather harmful to Czech MMA.
“That he didn’t want to talk to me after his fight in Brno, you as a promoter understand that every wrestler tries to build a fight,” said Vémola in the program Face to Face, which was presented by promoter Ondřej Novotný. “Not you, not him, the fans named the fight ‘The Hunt for the Terminator’, you wanted me to be there to commentate the fight” he recalled the agreement with Octagon management.
“And then Palo Neruda tells me that Kincl doesn’t want me to go to the cage,” the Octagon Light Heavyweight Champion asked in amazement. “I don’t care what Patrik Kincl doesn’t want, that match is for the fans, for you,” he explained.
“He is perhaps the only wrestler who objected to it, I have yet to see anyone in the UFC cry that someone came there,” he compared the dispute to the events in the world’s top MMA league.
“You also sent Puetz to me in Germany immediately after my victory, I won that match and they booed me there too and I could say that you spoiled it for me.” reminded “It’s part of the sport and if he doesn’t understand it, then he’s harming the sport,” stated at the address of his opponent.
Kincl responded to the Terminator’s words, but hit hard again
Patrik Kincl countered that he had not seen a similar thing in the UFC either. However, Karlos Vémola recalled the situation from last weekend, when Alexander Volkanovski came to the cage to challenge Islam Makhachev immediately after winning the title.
“That you didn’t see it, it keeps happening and it’s three days ago, they don’t even have to like each other, there was respect between them, they shook hands, but they are two of the best fighters and the UFC had them right away,” was describing the situation at the recent UFC 280.
In the same way, the Terminator reminded how the UFC paid for Jiří Procházko’s plane tickets to be at the title fight of Glover Teixeira with Jan Blachowicz. “The UFC arranges everything, so don’t lie to me again that I’m harming MMA. You probably don’t follow him.” he added.
Kincl later pointed out that the Octagon does not have to copy the UFC exactly to the millimeter. He then justified his view by saying that the fighters who appeared on the card of the tournament at the time deserved attention. Not Vémola.
