DeMarcus Cousins points to Taiwan as a possible destination

A few months ago DeMarcus Cousins seemed to have found his home with the Denver Nuggets. Mike Malone was happy with his role as one of the second unit leaders and the pairing he formed with Bones Hyland. However, with free agency just opened and the center’s contract coming to an end, the Colorados bet on DeAndre Jordan as a natural substitute for Nikola Jokic, leaving the former All-Star wandering in search of a team. The months have passed and the center has not been able to find shelter. Or at least not in the NBA, because everything indicates that his arrival in the Taiwanese league is imminent.

He will thus follow in the footsteps of Dwight Howard, who this month announced his signing for the Taoyuan Leopards of the T1 League. Local media report that they have seen Cousins in the Asian country in recent days to close the last fringes of his signing. There is still nothing official and it is not even clear which team the pivot will land on. According to the same sources, the destination would be in the south of the country, which reduces the possibilities to the Tainan TSG Ghosthawks or the Kaohsiung Aquas. Cousins interrupts a career of twelve seasons in the NBA in which he has averaged 19.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3 assists in 654 games played.
