Dakar Open 2022: three medals for Guinea (review)

Guinea finishes the 6th edition of the Dakar Open with three medals, one in gold. This is a senior competition in which more than 200 men and ladies in the world took part in the Marius Ndiaye room located in the courtyard From the Demba Diop stadium, from November 12 to 13 of this year.

The Guinean Federation of Judo and Associated Disciplines presented 7 judokas including two Ladies in this competition. 5 lost the preliminary fights, but among them two were drafted for the bronze medal and the other three were directly eliminated. These Guinean side, including Moustapha Fofana and Abdoulaye Millimono won the following fights to qualify for the final for the bronze medal. Unfortunately, Millimono will lose in the final in the under 90kg category against a Senegalese opponent, while Fofana will win bronze for Guinea in the +100kg category against another Senegalese.

The other two medalists are the two Ladies. In the +78kg category, Marie Suzanne Branser, who won her first fight by ippon, then the second by points, is the Guinean gold medalist. The other medalist, this time in silver, is Mariana Estèves. The latter won her first two fights by ippon before losing in the final by ippon.

The Dakar Open being over, Guinean judo invites you to Yaoundé for another competition in the Cameroonian capital. It will be in the next few days.
