Close but still – Judo State Association Vienna

On Saturday (November 19th) the Final Four of the 1st Judo Bundesliga took place in Gmunden. The four best teams of the regular season were at the start: Sanjindo Bischofshofen (S), JC Wimpassing Savings Bank (NÖ), UJZ Mühlviertel (Upper Austria) and M&R Galaxy Tigers (W).

There were exciting and valuable encounters. Mühlviertel narrowly qualified for the final with a 7:7 win against Wimpassing. Ultimately, the undervaluation was decisive (70:67). In the second pairing, the Viennese made it into the final with a clear 11:3 against the Salzburg team.

Thus, the Galaxy Tigers faced the host UJZ Mühlvieren. And here, too, it was close. The audience was offered two exciting rounds. In the end it was again 7:7 and only because of the wafer-thin lead in the undervaluation (64:70) was it finally certain. The championship title goes to Vienna to the M&R Galaxy Tigers.

Congratulations and we are happy for the Tigers! You can find all the results here.
