World football association FIFA awards Portugal’s first goal in the match against Uruguay to Bruno Fernandes.
Cristiano Ronaldo claimed after the goal on Monday evening that he was the last to touch the ball and reacted irritated when the goal was awarded to his teammate.
However, the sensor technology in the ball contradicts Ronaldo’s claim.

The ‘Connected Ball Technology’, which is in Adidas’s official match ball Al Rihla, has definitively shown no ball contact from Ronaldo on the opening goal, Adidas spokesman Olivier Brüggen said.
Ronaldo, however, was convinced that he had touched the ball lightly with his head after Fernandes’ cross. He also made this clear to his teammate after the final whistle. Fernandes later also scored the second goal in the 2-0 win. “We know that Ronaldo is a striker and that he is out for goals,” he said.
