Students from the College of Scientific and Technological Studies of the State of Chihuahua (CECyTECH) obtained six medals in the Athletics discipline during the 2022 CECyTEs National Sports Meeting, which took place in Xalapa, Veracruz, where they participated in Soccer, Basketball, Athletics and Volleyball.
Students from all the State Colleges of Scientific and Technological Studies (CECyTEs), located in various entities of the country, participated in this sports fair.
The Chihuahuan delegation was made up of 50 athletes from the Valle de Allende, San Isidro (Juárez), Gómez Farías, Flores Magón (Buenaventura) and Riberas Chihuahua schools.
From CECyTECH Flores Magón, the student Blanca Yamilet Rodríguez Dozal obtained first place in bullet and discus, while Randal Esaú Mayo González won first place in long jump and third in 200-meter dash.
The students Luis Fernando Murillo Valenzuela and Ramsés Israel Lozoya Olivas, both from CECyTECH Riberas Chihuahua, obtained second place in the 200-meter dash and third in the discus, respectively.
Recognizing the dedication and desire to excel of the athletes that made up the Chihuahuan delegation, the general director of CECyTECH, Adriana Ruiz Ramírez, expressed “sports is a component in the comprehensive education of students, which encourages work in equipment, as well as healthy habits for the rest of their lives”.
