Caussade. Basketball: full box for senior teams

the essential
The senior boys 1 ensured the double in the snatch.

Caussade 1 beats Moissac/Castelsarrasin 1: 59 to 58. All the ingredients of the derby were gathered on Saturday, on the occasion of the evening of the partners. Two teams that don’t give up; physical engagement, sometimes a little rough, and suspense right up to the last seconds. The start will be in favor of the Caussadais who took the lead in the first act thanks to their fast game. Reaction and rebellion from the visitors who made up a bit of their delay to reach half-time with only four points behind (27 to 23). On returning from the locker room, the game was balanced and the defenses took precedence over the attacks, which generated a lot of faults and a very choppy game. The start of the last act, with only a four-point lead (44 to 40), will still leave the suspense hanging over. The comeback of the visitors (58 all) in the last minute will cause even more pressure. The victory will be drawn on a last opposing fault in the last seconds which will allow the Caussade shooter to convert a free throw on the two attempted.

This small victory in the snatch allows to keep the third place of the hen. The fate of the meeting could have taken shape earlier with a better success rate in free throws: only 15 successes out of 29 attempts on the Caussade side.

Next meeting Saturday, November 19 at 8 p.m., at home, against team 2 from Cahors.

Senior boys 2 won away

Caussade 2 beats Moissac/Castelsarrasin 2: 74 to 67. The very young troupe of Joël Deverreweare, who had even called on a young U 17, performed well in the Moissac hall. After having competed well in the first half (36 to 33), they took the lead as soon as they returned from the locker room and entered the last act with a five-point lead. Unfortunately, the locals came back on their heels (67 everywhere two minutes from the end), before ending the game with a series of free throws to consolidate their great victory.

Next appointment Saturday, November 26, with the reception of Montech.
