Great success for Carloine Garcia: The Frenchwoman won the WTA final tournament in Dallas and is now fourth in the world tennis rankings. The special thing about it: She laid the foundation for her success in Bad Homburg.

At the Bad Homburg Open here in Hesse last June, Caroline Garcia started her impressive triumphal procession. Her success in the Kurpark was her first tournament victory in almost three years. The victory in the spa town gave her “a lot of self-confidence,” says the 29-year-old.

Victory in Bad Homburg gave self-confidence

“There was a special atmosphere, everyone was friendly,” said Garcia, adding: “It gives us players a lot of energy.” Energy that she was also able to use in the tournaments that followed. In Warsaw, in Cincinnati and finally in Dallas, Texas, she left the field as the winner. She also reached the semifinals of a Grand Slam event for the first time at the US Open. This winning streak has accordingly flushed Garcia up the world rankings. She is now fourth behind Iga Swiatek (Poland), Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) and Jessica Pegula (USA).

Will Garcia also be successful at the Bad Homburg Opens next year? Tickets are already available here.
