“Caged with Didrikson” #5. Tom is visited by UFC veteran Nordin Taleb

Brazilian Alex Pereira defeated New Zealand’s Nigerian Izrael Adesanya by technical knockout in the Octagon of New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday morning Latvian time and took away the UFC middleweight champion’s belt from him.

Tom is visited by Canadian UFC veteran Nordin Taleb in the fifth episode, who has the best pound-for-pound takedown accuracy (in all weight classes) in the history of the organization.

The conversation between Tom Didriksson and Nordin Taleb is in English.

Highlights of Tom and Nordin’s conversation:

At the very beginning of the conversation, Nordin Taleb says that he is doing well. Nordin is located in Dubai. It is warm and dry there.

Nordin tells how he moved from cold Montreal to hot Dubai.

Tom believes Taleb is the best MMA trainer in Dubai and Nordin isn’t saying he isn’t.

Nordin laughed about his takedown accuracy stats and thinks his teammate Georges St-Pierre should have been in first place pound for pound.

Unlike the days when Taleb climbed the cage himself, now he lives the passion through his students.

Touching on the Pereira-Adesanya duel, Nordin thinks the most likely, the UFC will hold a rematch.

At the end of the conversation, Taleb said thank you and added that he would be happy to return to the “Cage with Didrikson”.
