The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has today made public the corresponding schedules for the matches of the second round of the Copa del Rey, a competition in which Girona takes part, which lost to Quintanar del Rey in the previous round after extra time (1-2). Míchel Sánchez’s team will now face Cacereñowhich competes in the Second RFEF, and will do so next Thursday, December 22 from seven in the afternoon. The duel will be broadcast live on the Movistar+ channel.
Girona will be one of the 56 teams that will participate in this qualifier. 14 of them are from the First Division, 16 from the Second, 12 from the First RFEF and also 14 from the Second RFEF. Clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Betis and Valencia do not yet appear because, as they will participate in the next edition of the Spanish Super Cup, they will not start their journey until the third round of the Cup.
