The experienced and renowned coach from Antioquia, Hernán Darío “El Bolillo” Gómez, was appointed as the new coach of Atletico Bucaramanga for the 2023 season.
This was confirmed by the president of the ‘Leopardo’ club, Jaime Elías Quintero.
“It is already a reality that Hernán Darío Gómez will be the coach of Bucaramanga and in the next few hours we will make it official with a press release,” said the manager.
‘El Bolillo’ thus becomes the coach with the best resume to command the Leopardo team, taking into account that he has led three different teams in the World Cups: Colombia, Ecuador and Panama, in addition to adding titles as coach of clubs.
Gomez will come to replace jorge ramoawho directed the last dates as interim technical director of the ‘yellow’ club, after the departure of Armando Philip Osma.
The last period as coach of ‘Bolillo’ was with the Honduran National Team, in the process towards the World Cup, which was not successful.
Before in Colombia he had been on the team bench as Independent Medellin, with which he reached 2020 Betplay Cup. He also went through the benches of National Athletic y Santa Fe.
