Basketball. N3M: hope for the Cep Lorient reserve, worrying Hennebont . Sport

If Hennebont lost his ninth match of the season on the Saint-Nazaire floor, the Cep Lorient reserve sees a glimmer of hope by having won a crucial match with a view to maintaining at the expense of La Roche Vendée (78- 70). The Lorient have thus won their third victory of the season and are only one point behind the first non-relegation teams. They are now four teams, moreover, to share eighth place in the standings, and the Lorient, who will receive the reserve from Challans on December 3, will have all the cards in hand to return to a more comfortable place.

Thomas Le Roux’s men have so far lacked the experience to improve consistency and efficiency, but most of them are young and the season is long. The second part of the championship should allow them to continue their progress. In any case, the victory obtained on Saturday November 19 in Vendée, the first outside, is the sign of a team which has not yet shown the full extent of its abilities.

Hennebont worried

More worryingly, Hennebont lost heavily during his trip to Saint-Nazaire (109-68). Without Julien Gouriou and Brice Malungila, the players of Quentin Lefort, beaten last week in overtime against La Roche Vendée, will now have a hard time bouncing back with a very difficult end to the group stage. The Hennebontais approach three complicated matches: the reception of Montfort, a trip to Sallertaine, and the arrival of Brest. That is to say three teams that occupy a good place in the first part of the table.
