Araucanía Games 2022: La Pampa added gold medals in judo and swimming

This Thursday was a day with many victories for La Pampa in the different disciplines that compete in the 2022 Araucanía Games. In the afternoon, women’s judo won the gold medal at the hands of Sasha Biondo.

An immense joy for her and for the Province. Sasha, after the fight, expressed her extreme satisfaction, since she reached the final stages and this time she was victorious.

“Many sensations, I achieved what I wanted and finally we beat Chile. I always reach the final and I never get it. I was preparing for the South American and I couldn’t go. I prepared myself with everything, I had a strong rival but I took the victory,” said the athlete from Pampas.

This gold medal was specially dedicated to his family for all the support and to the Undersecretary of Sports of La Pampa.

FEMALE AND MEN’S SOCCER

The women’s soccer team from La Pampa faced Río Negro, at the Schilling stadium in the Comuna de Osorno. The pampeans sold a strong rival, with a goal from Melanie Gramajo.

The women’s soccer delegate, Marcela Castro, stated that the girls “are rude.” “All of us from the pampas have to be proud, after a very hot game, they had to stop to hydrate since the synthetic is also hotter,” he said.

Meanwhile, men’s soccer won by a landslide, 7-0 against its rival Magallanes.

MALE AND FEMALE VOLLEYBALL

Women’s volleyball defeated Chubut 3-1 in the morning, and defeated Santa Cruz by the same result.

In men’s volleyball they defeated Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego.

Women’s Basketball lost against Río Negro 48-52 and won against Santa Cruz 59-53.

And men’s basketball beat Neuquén 80-42.

SWIMMING MEDALS

This Thursday was very favorable for La Pampa, since in swimming they won two gold medals: one for Bruno Barzola in the 200-meter medley and another for José Gramajo in the 1,500-meter crawl. He also added a silver medal with Martina Souto in the 800-meter crawl and another from Sofía Gazan in the 50-meter freestyle.
