It changed his life…

Today the life of the girl Ariel is not in danger, but the accident changed her, changed her present and future.

The court heard a victim impact statement from Ariel’s mother, Felicia Miller, read by the prosecutor. In it, she explained how Ariel’s life changed forever that night.

She now wears glasses, may need leg braces, and is in special education classes because it takes her longer to process information.

The victims were not satisfied with the sentence

“The victims of this crime are outraged that the defendant was not sentenced to the maximum sentence allowed by law. No amount of prison time will be enough to punish the defendant for the pain and suffering he caused this family and the continuing hardships that Ariel will continue to endure for the rest of his life. She will hold. She will strive and prosper. She is strong,” says a statement from the lawyer.
