“Pride and satisfaction: the silver medal obtained by Alessia at the national championships in the judo category is an exceptional result that deserves to be celebrated!”.
With these words the mayor of Cavagnolo Andrea Gavazza last Thursday he rewarded, with a plaque, a promising young Cavagnolese Judo, Alessia Esposito.
In the council chamber, the municipal administration welcomed Alessia, her companions and the judo staff of theUnisport Cavagnolo.
“Congratulations to Alessia and congratulations to the Unisport Association – said the mayor -: behind every individual medal there is always great teamwork and in the Palazzetto dello Sport in Cavagnolo there are all the conditions to practice quality sport, at its best. Finally, a special mention to the Masters who support the students step by step”.
The approach to this sport comes after a difficult period and, in judo, the young woman finds her way, the way to channel the anger accumulated with adolescent experiences with some peers unfortunately “not happy” for her.
Alessia Esposito awarded by the municipal administration of Cavagnolo
Born sportingly speaking in the judo course of the Asd Guardia di Finanza Piemonte in Turin, Alessia Esposito he immediately distinguished himself by hoarding competitions and prizes.
The first real test was the qualification for the 2021 National Finals in July and the first Finals of the Italian Championship in November 2021, finishing in ninth place.
The following year he won all the medals at the Italian Trophies and the medal at the 2022 Italian Championship Finals.
On 5 and 6 November last, at the “PalaPellicone” in Ostia, he conquered the silver medal at the finals of the Italian Championships in the 48 kg category.
The very young athlete from Unisport Cavagnolo did not disappoint expectations and won the three matches that led her to the final with ippon, flawlessly: here the golden score with the athletes tied was decisive, and Alessia gave way to her opponent, taking the third shido.
Thus ends a truly magical year for Unisport rookies and for Alessia Esposito.
The foundations for a rosy future have now been laid.
