Alejandro Bethencourt and Álvaro Bernal, ASailor Snipe Trophy champions

Alejandro Bethencourt and Álvaro Bernal won the ASailor trophy for the Snipe 2022 class that was held in the waters of Arrecife, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and sponsored by ASailor, a Lanzarote brand dedicated to the world of sailing, and the Institutional collaboration of the Arrecife City Council, Arrecife Sports, Arrecife Tourism, Lanzarote Cabildo, Lanzarote Sports Cabildo and European Sports Destination.

Six were the teams that were encouraged to participate in this new edition of the ASailor Trophy, with five of them belonging to the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife and one to the Club Deportivo Código Cero of Puerto Calero.

The test had six regattas where the couple formed by Alejandro Bethencourt and Álvaro Bernal, sailors from the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, were the winners as they were the most regular, winning three of the regattas and achieving two second places, discarding the last of all, where they could not finish, obtaining a total of 7 points.

Two points behind them were their closest pursuers, Leonardo and Elena Armas, who signed three partial victories and two third places, ruling out a fifth. Third in the final ranking were Miguel Ángel Naverán and Luis Hernández, also from the capital club, who obtained four second places and one third, ruling out a null start with the U flag, which led them to achieve 11 points.

The rest of the standings went to the pair formed by the capitalists, Carlos Miguel De la Hoz Gonzalez and Yapci Reyes Ramos, with 17 points; southerners Alonso Perez Fernandez and Alejandro Vidal Ortiz of Guinea, with 24; and Pedro Miguel Ferrer Espino with Jesus Gonzalez Amaliach Echeandia, with

Once the tests were carried out, the trophies were delivered at the club headquarters led by Julio Romero, president of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife, and Andrea Stinga, representing the ASailor brand. Also present were Manuel Torres, technical director of the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife; and the directors Estanislao Bethencourt and Juan Roa.

The wingfoil test, which was also scheduled to take place, had to be postponed, since the wind was not enough for it to take place, remaining pending to be able to be done in the coming weeks.
