“Before, I was always sociable, communicative, I liked to talk for a long time, I stayed at the table for a long time after lunch or dinner with friends, but now it’s almost impossible. I can’t stand having long conversations, I feel like a zombie and I have to go back to the silence of my room,” Knottenová described in an interview for Ski-Nordique.

He takes all this as a remnant of the accident in May. She suffered a severe concussion, an eye injury and numerous superficial injuries.

For a long time, she defended herself against predictions of how she would start the new season. Last year she also finished with a place on the grades within the SP.

After the accident, however, he still needs a much longer time for regeneration, especially after heavy training. In a busy season with numerous races, this can be a complication.

“I don’t really recognize myself,” she revealed, but she welcomed a successful start to the season all the more. “It reduced the tension, I don’t have to prove something to someone all the time.”
