France will travel to Hungary in early February for its qualifying match for the final phase of the 2023 Davis Cup, according to the draw made on Sunday before the final of the 2022 edition. Hungary has at the end of this 2022 season a only player in the World Top 100, Marton Fucsovics (N.98). The French, qualified for the 2022 finals by beating Ecuador, were eliminated in the group stage in September, in Group C where Australia and Germany had qualified.
The qualifications for the 2023 edition will be played on February 3 and 4 or 4 and 5 in a city in the host country. Each match will be played in four singles and one doubles.
