Yerry Mina: return to Everton after injury is coming, Lampard spoke about him in the premier league | Colombians Abroad

Yerry Mina is back in the news! That is already an invitation to optimism after two months of absence and a chain of physical problems that have relegated him to Everton and the Colombian National Team.

The defender was the subject of discussion at the last press conference of Frank Lampard, coach of the ‘toffees’, who invited the illusion about the return of a player who always contributes when he is available.

“They are training with us (Mina and Mason). Yerry joined us in the last few days, Mason came in today for part of the training. They are both working hard to get back in shape,” said the coach.

The man from Cauca suffered an injury to his ankle ligaments on August 6, in the duel against Chelsea (defeat 1-0) and since then he has not been in Lampard’s plans, who authorized his trip to Colombia to put himself under doctor’s orders Gustavo Portela, from Deportivo Cali, to solve this specific issue and explore alternatives so as not to continue suffering from muscular problems.

The clear thing is that he still needs time and more training units, which is why this Sunday, in the duel against Manchester United at Goodison Park, he will not be able to return. Of course, the boss has already calculated a probable date for him: “This weekend probably comes too soon for both of them, definitely for Mason, but we hope that with a good week of training next week they can be in the fight.”

Mina missed the friendlies against Guatemala (4-1) and Mexico (3-2) in the Colombian National Team, but coach Néstor Lorenzo knows him well and looks forward to him in the future.
