President of the Malaysian Football Federation (FAM) Datuk Hamidin Amin provides support for Indonesian football which is grieving because The Tragedy of KanjuruhanSaturday (1/10).
The support was given by Datuk Hamidin and FAM directly to the country, Saturday (8/10). The FAM visit was welcomed by PSSI General Chair Mochamad Iriawan and PSSI Deputy Secretary General Maaike Ira Puspita.
Quoted from the official PSSI website, the incident that occurred in Kanjuruhan, Malang, East Java, is a world football tragedy.
“The soccer world is also grieving. And we will always be there for Indonesian soccer lovers as brothers and sisters,” said Datuk Hamidin.
PSSI really appreciates FAM’s support. According to Maaike Ira Puspita, FAM’s support will be very meaningful for Indonesia.
“Support for Indonesia is huge from the football world for the Kanjuruhan tragedy,” said Maaike.
“The arrival of FAM President Datuk Hamidin Amin directly to Indonesia increases morale for the big family of Indonesian football,” Maaike added.
After meeting with PSSI, Datuk Hamidin and FAM are scheduled to watch the Indonesia U-17 vs Malaysia national team match in the last Group B match in the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification at Pakansari Stadium, Sunday (9/10).
The Indonesia vs Malaysia match will determine the fate of both teams for the 2023 U-17 Asian Cup final. Indonesia only needs a draw to qualify, while Malaysia must win.
