The River Valley High School football team in California is making headlines across the country, but not for its exploits. The high school canceled the remainder of its competitive season after players on the team staged a “slave auction” with their black teammates.
Video taken in the locker room of the River Valley High School team shows three black teenagers in boxer shorts, lined up in front of a wall, as their classmates shout out prizes while pointing at them.
The management banned from competitions until the end of the season, all the students involved in this bad “joke”. Not having enough players left in the squad, the entire rest of the season had to be cancelled.
The same week, another California high school football team had its season canceled for nicknaming a group chat: “Kill the blacks.”
