Uludağ Basketball Club, the only representative of Bursa competing in the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League, hosted Hatay Metropolitan Belediyespor in the Tofaş Hall in Nilüfer in the first exam of the season. Mustafa Bozbey, one of the former mayors of Nilüfer Municipality, was among those who watched the match. The visiting team won the match 62-75.
Uludağ Basketball, who struggled with injuries and could not get a full squad on the field, played head-to-head with its opponent in the first episode. However, in the Hatay representative, Prince carried the team forward with the baskets he made from outside. In the first episode, Uludağ tried to resist with Emme Cannon. While Hatay Metropolitan was ahead 12-21 in the first division, in the second part, the gap gradually opened up and went ahead 24-47 in the locker room with a 23-point advantage.
Uludag Basketball started the third episode with an active pace and tried to melt the gap with Gizem Uca and it was passed 32-51 at the 24th minute. The baskets of Emma Cannon, who made good use of the bottom of the basket, came. In the third part, the visiting team finished ahead 42-57. The final part started with mutual baskets. With Meryem Gültekin’s baskets, it was passed 50-64 in the 35th minute. Hatay Metropolitan Belediyespor won the match 75-62 with Markeisha Cherter’s effective play under the basket in the last three minutes.
