Two golds and one silver for Badminton Zamora in Tordesillas

Ehe CD Badminton Zamora continues with its usual streak of victories and first places. This time the Zamoran club traveled to the Valladolid town of Tordesillas to participate in a test of the Castilla y León circuit for sub11, 15 and 19 categories.

In the sub-11 category, the only representative from Zamora, Demetrio Pinto, is still subscribed to the top drawer of the podium. He was winning all his matches, until reaching the final for the fight for gold. Facing the Galician player Álvaro Gómez, current number 8 in the national ranking, Demetrio played a tremendous match, winning in 2 sets, thus winning the gold.

In doubles, together with his partner Diego Muñoz (CB Valladolid), he won the second medal of the day, also gold.

In the U15 category, Leticia Gómez began the day by winning her first individual match, losing in her second group stage match, leaving her out of the final phase. In mixed doubles, teaming up with Iker Bartolomé from Valladolid, they gradually won their group stage matches, losing in the last one, which decided the pass to the final.

Finally, the U-17s participated in a higher category, doing a very good job in the U-19s. Aitana Ares and Natalia Colino won one of their individual matches, losing in the second group stage.

Eric Casas came close to victory in the men’s doubles matches, with his regular partner from CB Laguna, Gonzalo García, leaving a bittersweet taste for being so close to victory. The Zamorano removed the thorn in the mixed doubles modality, with Natalia Colino, winning all her matches with solvency, losing only in the fight for gold, climbing to the second drawer of the podium.

Good results in this month of September that has just ended and that highlight the good work done during the preseason since the end of August.
