Thanks to a 13 out of 15, Union is sure of a win in group D of the Europa League. That lead is a nice extra, because the group winners can skip a round in the Europa League. In concrete terms, Union will not be back in action until March 9, 2023, immediately in the 1/8th finals. Union will not know his opponent until February 24. Champions League dropouts Barcelona and Sevilla are possible opponents.

The draw for the knockout phase of the Europa League will take place on Monday 7 November at 1 pm, but Union will be missing from the balls during that draw.
In the 1/16th finals of the Europa League, only the second-placed teams from the group stage and the third-placed teams from the Champions League compete against each other, while the group winners from the Europa League, including Union, do not have to play.
They only have to compete again in the 1/8th finals, on Thursday 9 and 16 March 2023. The draw for the 1/8th finals will take place on 24 February 2023.
