Antwerp – Dominic Thiem mastered his opening hurdle at the ATP 250 tennis tournament in Antwerp with ease. On his way back on Wednesday, the Lower Austrian beat local hero Michael Geerts, who had a wildcard, 6:4, 6:0. In the round of 16 on Thursday, the 29-year-old will meet Argentina’s number six Francisco Cerundolo, whom he had eliminated in two sets in the quarter-finals in Gijon last week.
