WHAT DOES WTA STAND FOR?
The WTA tennis circuit is made up of different tournaments that take place throughout the year in different venues in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, Latin America and Australia.
The difference between each competition is in the prize pool and the number of points that are awarded for the world ranking, which is determined by the number displayed in the tournament category, i.e. WTA 125, WTA 250, WTA 500 and WTA 1000. The higher the number, the more prestigious and higher the prize money. The WTA 1000 tournament is the most important on the circuit (only behind the grand slams) and only eight are played worldwide.

PLAYERS
During the event, about 46 tennis players will participate in singles and the 32 best couples in the doubles category. Among the players, the participation of Paula Badosa, Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula, Maria Sakkari, Coco Gauff and Caroline Garcia stands out, all players belonging to the top ten of the WTA ranking.
