The ranking of quarterbacks after Week 6 of the regular season

Who were the passers who were light, and who were shadow, during the sixth day of the new NFL campaign?

The markers of the week 6 they were once again as unpredictable as they were at the start of the campaign, and the natural result of this was to find unexpected names in both halves of our weekly list.

No quarterback got below the 10-point barrier in Total QBRwhich was good news, but only one of them was able to exceed 90.0, on the 0-100 scale of the rating created by the team at ESPN Stats & Information.

Without further ado, we present the top five and top five quarterbacks in the final day of action of the regular season of the NFLfollowing our usual alphabetical order.

CINCO QUARTERBACKS ALZA

The Bills got their most critical win so far this season on Week 6, and no one was more important than Allen, completing 27 of 44 attempts for 329 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He posted a 60.4 Total QBR, seventh-best on the day, and his 8.22 average yards per pass attempt was fifth-highest. On the ground, he added 32 yards on 12 carries, including a spectacular jumper over a Chiefs defender that will be immortalized on poster form.

Burrow posted the third-highest QBR Total of Week 6, a 78.5, which he built on a 28-of-37 performance for 300 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, coupled with four carries for 25 yards with an additional rushing touchdown. Burro was fourth in the league with a 75.7 percent completion rate, sixth with an average of 8.11 yards per pass attempt, and fourth in inaccurate pass rate at just 8.3 percent.

After several weeks down, the arrow straightened up again for Lawrence, who completed 20 of 22 passes for 165 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions, to which he added two touchdowns on six rushing carries. He had an inaccurate 9.1 percent of his passes, sixth-best in the league, and he was eighth-best in average yards per pass attempt, at 7.50, to go along with a spectacular 90.9 percent completion rate that was the second-most high on the weekend. His Total QBR of 63.3 was sixth-best in the entire NFL.

No one could have imagined that the only quarterback in the NFL to end Week 6 with a Total QBR above 90 points would be Mariota, let’s be honest. The Atlanta quarterback posted a 95.8 as part of a 13-for-14 shooting performance that he yielded for 129 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Mariota’s 92.9 percent completion rate led the league, too, and he was second in inaccurate passing rate, shooting just 7.1 percent off-target. He rounded out his afternoon with an average of 9.21 yards per pass attempt, second-best in the NFL, and added 50 yards and another rushing touchdown.

From villain to hero, that’s how things can change quickly in the NFL. The Indy quarterback was 42-of-58 for 389 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, posting the second-highest QBR Total of the day at 81.9. Ryan was fifth in completion rate, at 72.4 percent, and he was also fifth in inaccurate pass rate, at 8.9 percent.

FIVE QUARTERBACKS DOWN

Brissett’s performance has both been mirrored as a cause of the Browns’ up-and-down season. This week, he’s been on the negative side, going 21-for-45 for 266 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. His Total QBR was just 18.5, second-lowest on the weekend, and no one completed fewer passes in percentage terms than his 46.7. To top it off, he was last in the league in inaccurate passing rate, at 28.6 percent, and lost one of the two fumbles he suffered in his afternoon.

One more week of our list, and a new appearance of the young quarterback from Chicago at the bottom of our list. Completing just 14 of 27 for 190 yards with a touchdown and an interception, Fields posted a Total QBR of 28.1, good for 22nd of 27 qualified for the day. In addition, he had the third-worst completion rate at 51.9 percent and was sacked five times, though he redeemed himself somewhat by leading the Bears in rushing with 12 carries for 88 yards.

No quarterback had a worse Total QBR (16.9) in Week 6 than the four-time NFL MVP — including the last two seasons –; right now, Rodgers is part of the problem in Green Bay, though no one can deny that he is the most important part of the potential solution. On Sunday, he connected on 26 of 41 passes for 246 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. Also, he suffered two fumbles, including one lost.

Second week in a row that the proclaimed savior of the Dallas offense by some, appears in the section that nobody wants to appear in our weekly piece. Rush had a tough time against Philly, completing 18 of 38 passes for 181 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. His Total QBR of 32.2 was ninth-worst for the day, and he managed to complete the second-lowest pass rate in the NFL at 47.4 percent. With a 4.76 average yards per pass attempt, the good news here is that everything points to the return of Dak Prescott to the field, and Rush’s return to the Cowboys’ bench.

Part of a Thursday night duel of quarterbacks who did their best to demonstrate how the position shouldn’t be played, along with Fields, Wentz completed 21 of 22 passes for 99 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. He ranked 22nd in inaccurate passing rate, at 18.2 percent, and was fourth-worst in the league averaging 4.50 yards per pass attempt. Additionally, he ranked 22nd in completion rate, at 54.5 percent.
