The peripheral may see some inspiration for the Hit-Girl action

Chloë Grace Moretz joked about where she drew inspiration for her latest project. The actress’s new show, The Peripheral, is based on a book by William Gibson and comes from the creators of Westworld. It is set in the future, where virtual headphones have evolved to have no screen. Moretz’s character is transported into another reality that feels real, but may be even more real than she thinks. And according to the trailer, there’s a lot of action, which is perfect for the Kick-Ass star who played Hit-Girl when she was 13.

Moretz may have been young when she first stepped into the role of Hit-Girl, but she showed the world her talent. It was her decisive role that made her famous. Her incredible fight scenes made her a fan favorite, indicating that she was made for action, even though she did almost all genres. While the last movie came out nearly 10 years ago, fans will love seeing Hit-Girl back in action.

Hit-Girl may not return, but Moretz talked about the kind of fight scenes she did on the show during The Peripheral New York Comic-Con panel, which Screen Rant attended. It was a mixture of fighting styles. Additionally, she also revealed that she brought some Hit-Girl inspiration to stunts. Read Moretz’s full statement:

“There are a lot of hand-to-hand fights. So it’s really fun. We have some judo moves in there. There was a bit of Hit Girl, for sure. We actually have to do a lot of Muay Thai, so there is a lot of kicking ”.

What does the Hit-Girl action mean for the peripheral?

The Peripheral is likely to be a great action show if Moretz takes inspiration from one of his legendary characters. The actress has participated in many major projects, including Let Me In, Carrie and If I Stay. However, the Kick-Ass movies lived without rent in the minds of the fans. So comic book and action fans will be delighted to see Moretz step into another action-packed role. At the very least, viewers will know that the Let Me In star will have fight scenes eagerly awaiting. Plus, she’s grown a lot since her Hit-Girl days, so the choreography can be more complex. She likes the movies she’s making, so fans will most likely like them too.

Not much is known about Moretz’s new character, Flynne Fisher. She is working to take care of her family, she is a gamer and her brother is committed to building cutting-edge VR technologies. Also, fans know that she will have action scenes. She looks good in the few clips in the trailer where she is taking out the ones who can only be assumed to be the bad guys. People will have to wait until The Peripheral preview on October 21 on Amazon Prime Video to learn more about what could be another great character for Moretz.
