Ciudad Real, Oct 1 (EFE) .- The international volleyball player Diana Sánchez returns to the courts at 45 years old, although she does not do it in the sport that gave her internationality, but will compete in the local basketball team hometown, CB Socuéllamos, of the Women’s Second Division.

On its social networks, CB Socuéllamos has announced the return to competition of Diana Sánchez, who after her retirement from the world of volleyball changes sports and returns to competition in this team that plays in the Women’s Second Division, in the South Group .

Diana Sánchez was the captain of Kiele Socuéllamos, with whom she achieved two consecutive promotions until reaching the Women’s Volleyball Super League, in addition to winning the Princess Cup title in 2019.

Likewise, she has been capped 160 times by the Spanish volleyball team, of which she also became captain.

And in volleyball she has been European champion three times, won a Pre-Olympic and a Super League, and in 2007 the Government of Castilla-La Mancha recognized her with the Gold Medal for Sports Merit of the autonomous community.
