The Guardiola Sala Foundation and Girona have joined forces to promote the first Cursa Montilivi, with the aim of helping the NGO Casal dels Infants which fights against inequality between families due to social class. The event, which has the support of Girona City Council and the “la Caixa” Foundation, will take place next Sunday, November 27 with the peculiarity of finishing and finalizing in the white-and-red stadium. There will be two routes, from 5 or 10 kilometers, suitable for all levels and which will combine a first section of lane track and a second section of asphalt through the city. The maximum number of registrations for the race, which will be timed, is 3,000 participants.

The Cursa Montilivi was presented this afternoon at the stadium and was attended by the president of Girona, Geli Dolphin; Peter Guardiola, as representative of the Guardiola Sala family and president of Girona’s board of directors; and the vice-mayor of Girona City Council, Kim Ayats. “We are happy and proud that our stadium is the beginning and the end of a race that will take place in an incomparable setting. It is good news to use it for this good cause,” said Geli. For his part, Guardiola commented that “we feel enormous happiness to be able to continue to be linked with the territory and help other foundations to carry out their projects”. The Casal dels Infants works with the challenge of “accompanying families in the race of life, which often does not start at the same finish line and is full of obstacles”.

Registrations can be made on the cursamontilivi.cat website for a price of €13.50 if done from October 26 to November 9 or €15 if done from November 10 to 24. Diari de Girona is the official newspaper for this charity run.
