The French women’s team lost 2-1 against Germany in a friendly on Friday in Dresden, two and a half months after their elimination in the semi-finals of the Euro against the same opponent and on the same score.
As at the Euro, the German captain Alexandra Popp scored twice (44th, 48th). Viviane Asseyi reduced the score from the penalty spot (85th), in this meeting mainly dedicated to the preparation of the 2023 World Cup, which will take place from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand.
