Last month, the Riga players collected three wins and one loss in four games, but the 17-year-old Valutadatil started all the matches in the starting line-up of his team, played three full games and served as team captain in one of the matches. He scored one goal each against FK “Dinamo Riga” (6:1) and FK “Smiltene”/BJSS (7:1).
In total, Valutadatils scored eight goals this season, which is shared as the best score in the team. He is one of three players on his team to have appeared in 20 of 21 games this season, but he trails only Christian Illenan (1,797) in minutes (1,769). The RFS-2 team has won three consecutive victories and is in fifth place overall.
Roberts Adītājs (JDFS “Alberts”), Raivo Stūriņš (FS “Jelgava”) and Marks Kurtišs (Grobinas SC/LFS) were also nominated for the fans’ vote, which took place on the social network “Facebook”.
It has already been announced that in April the Italian midfielder of the FS “Jelgava” team Daniel Olivieri was named the best player of the tournament, the May/June award went to his teammate Marci Peilans, in July another representative of the Jelgava team Dāvi Vejkrieger was named the best player, and in August the award went to Krister Lūsin from “Valmiera FC-2″/VSS.
