The defender bet Varnsdorf half a dozen. We are happy that our offensive fighters came through, Mucha was pleased

In an even first half, defender Michal Tomič gave Hradišťský the lead. After the break, there was only one goal to play for. “We were very well prepared for the opponent. It was still a bit of a struggle until the break, but as soon as we scored the second and third goals in the second half, we were already in complete control of the game,” said the Slovakian full-back, who is now doing well as a scorer. Last week, he helped his team to a surprising win with a great shot in the Conference League match in Nice.

Tomič believes that Slovácko hid some goals even for the weekend match with Teplice. “In the domestic league, we must take action. We need to move up from the thirteenth place as soon as possible,” he planned.

Hradišť assistant Josef Mucha praised his team after the duel with Varnsdorf for the second half. “In it, we refined and sped up the game, and it was immediately evident in the score. We appreciate the great victory over the top team of the second league. We are happy that our offensive fighters finally prevailed in the end,” he was pleased with the hits of Vecheta, Mihálik and Brandner. “We missed Kozák due to a minor injury,” he revealed.

He did not want to speculate too much whether his team is capable of defending the cup championship. “It’s still a long way. A lot will depend on the luck of the draw,” Mucha realizes.

We dropped out after the break, Holeňák admitted

Varnsdorf coach Miroslav Holeňák was greatly disappointed by his team’s performance after the change of sides. “We dropped completely after the break, and Slovácko overpowered us. We rested a few players and with our relatively small squad, that proved to be a problem. The opponent was clearly better in the second half,” he acknowledged.

Immediately after the final whistle, harsh words were spoken in the Varnsdorf booth. “It’s a good thing that the boys spoke very loudly about their poor performance. They didn’t care what they showed on the field,” Holeňák found at least a small positive in the unsuccessful encounter.
