The declaration of Luka Doncic which will not please Frank Ntilikina!

If he had the good fortune to be extended by Dallas this summer, Frank Ntilikina should not expect any gifts. Especially after this exit from his franchise player Luka Doncic, who showered the Frenchman’s main rival in the rotation with praise.

Decisive in the playoffs last year thanks to his defense, in particular against the Suns to whom he caused a lot of trouble, Frank Ntilikina was rewarded with a contract extension to the Mavs. Be careful though, this one only runs on the 2022-23 campaign. To secure his future a little more in Texas and more generally in the NBA, the leader will have to redouble his efforts and do at least as well as during the last post-season, if not better.

Problem, his franchise has a lot of ambitions and will therefore have to make clear choices, especially with regard to rotations. Recently, we learned that the French Prince was eligible for a promotion, but that meant fighting Josh Green to get it. However, the third-year player has already put several members of the squad in his pocket, starting with Luka Doncic who raved about him at the start of training camp:

Luka Doncic admiring Josh Green

It’s going to be his year, he’s even more ready. He’s in better shape. He is ready to take another step, maybe even a few steps forward.

Note also that coach Jason Kidd made relatively similar comments on the American nugget, which is really not to help Franky Smokes’ business. It must be said that if the Habs shine in defense, Green is not bad in this sector either, having notably worked with star Kyle Lowry during the summer. In addition to that, he would have improved a lot in shooting, the big weak point of the player of the Blues… The reactions of the fans prove it, there is one who hypes them much more than the other:

Josh Green is stronger than Frank Ntilikina

Josh Green is going to take a big leap forward, that’s all this team needed. Let’s pray for that.

Josh Green is going to be Frank Ntilikina’s main this season, and it looks like he’s already got his franchise player in his pocket. Not good news for the French, who must once again play his all in 2022-23.
