The Bonillas prepare for the 2022 IBA Youth Boxing World Championship

Boxers from Juarez are concentrated in the National Center for High Performance.

Ciudad Juárez.- Boxers from Juarez Ari and Andrey Bonilla were concentrated for their preparation at the National Center for High Performance in Mexico City, to represent Mexico in the 2022 IBA World Youth Boxing Championship for Men and Women.

The president of the Municipal Boxing League in Ciudad Juárez, Raymundo Bonilla, reported that the 17-year-old boxers will compete in the sports fair that will take place from November 11 to 27 at the Ciudad Deportiva Camilo Cano stadium, in Alicante, Spain.

Ari will fight in the category up to 51 kilograms and Andrey in the category up to 54 kilograms, for which since last October 10 they moved to the National High Performance Center of the National Sports Commission in Mexico City, to continue with its preparation.

Since they were little, the Bonilla brothers have successfully participated in MMA, Jiujitsu, Judo, Kickboxing and karate, where they achieved a black belt.

In boxing, Andrey Bonilla, after having competed in the children’s category in the 44 kilos, was named the best fighter of the IV Olympic Boxing Festival 2019. He has also been four times champion of the Mexican Boxing Federation and one in the National Games. CONADE.

Meanwhile, Ari Bonilla has been crowned champion three times in the Mexican Boxing Federation and once in the CONADE National Games.

“We are very grateful to the Municipal Government and the Municipal Institute of Sport and Physical Culture of Juárez, because they have always supported them and are on the lookout for the brothers Ari and Andrey Bonilla,” he said.
