Bram van Driessche, the referee of the meeting, took this decision because of incidents caused by the Brussels supporters, massed in the parking lot visitors. The latter threw many smoke bombs and firecrackers on the lawn of the Sclessin stadium. Overflows which also pushed the referee to interrupt the game for the first time for almost a quarter of an hour.
