Good performance by Athlos in the 2022 Iberdrola Club Cup in the women’s category that was played in Oviedo and where 12 clubs participated. The team from Ourense achieved, after hard confrontations, a meritorious eighth place in a competition in which the performance of Ana Nóvoa stood out, who was awarded with the “MVP” trophy as the best under-17 player.
Athlos finished second in the group stage after beating CB Granollers 4-1 and losing to IES La Orden 1-4.
In the quarterfinals, the national team lost 3-1 to Oviedo, while in the fight for seventh place they lost again, in this case 3-1 against CB San Fernando Valencia.
