Things are stirring among Anderlecht supporters after the bad results. They have planned actions for the trip to Mechelen. For example, the grandstand will remain empty for the first 12 minutes, a reference to the importance of the 12th man.
“Sunday October 09, 2021, the Fanboard and the Ultras groups have chosen to boycott the trip to Mechelen”, can we read in a press release from the Fan Board and the Ultras of Sporting d’Anderlecht. “We will not be present in the away supporters’ stand for the first 12 minutes to protest against the current state of affairs. The 12th minute is a symbolic reference to us, the supporters, who are authorized to chant the slogan ‘WE ARE ANDERLECHT ‘ and only we who honor and wear the logo with pride.”
“We ask the sports staff to bring a realistic game system where each player can do more and the players will be put in their best place. We also realize that with the current financial resources not everything is feasible, but the will to win MUST be there!”
The Ultras recall the importance for players to wear the club jersey “with pride”.
“We, the supporters, want to express our concern about the instability of our beloved club on the above.”
