The 4th date of the Provincial Table Tennis is played in Comodoro

This Sunday in the adjoining courts of the Club Ingeniero Huergo in the General Mosconi neighborhood, the fourth date of the Chubutense Table Tennis Tournament will be played in Comodoro Rivadavia. During the year it has already been played in Trelew, Esquel and Aldea Sepaccal, while the annual closing will be in November in Puerto Madryn. The date will have more than 70 players from different locations in the region.

The event will be coordinated by the Palazzo Municipal Table Tennis School, under the auspices of the Commodore Sports Autarchic Entity and the General Directorate of Municipal Sports.

“Our little table tennis school in Comodoro Rivadavia was born in 2016, depending on the municipality. We were in the gymnasium Nº 722, then in the School, and currently we are in the neighborhood of Bº Próspero Palazzo”, commented Jorge Swenger, instructor of the Municipal Palazzo table tennis school.

“This Sunday at Club Huergo the fourth provincial table tennis tournament will take place, and we have great expectations. Quite a few people have joined and it is good that being close to the province of Santa Cruz, several players from those towns have also signed up. The expectations are very good, we hope to live up to it. We hope to grow, tomorrow to be a club, we still have a long way to go, but we are going to keep trying”, added Swenger, instructor at the Palazzo school together with Miguel Machado.

So far there are 72 participants registered in categories First, Second, Beginners, Ladies and Doubles, coming to compete in Comodoro Rivadavia players from Puerto Deseado, Sarmiento, Río Mayo, Caleta Olivia, Pico Truncado, Puerto Madryn and Trelew, in addition to the exponents local.
