Tango Bourges Basket successfully enters the Women’s Euroleague against Olympiacos

Bourges, despite cold sweats at the end of the game, made a success of its entry into the women’s Euroleague of basketball. The Tango players won the home game against Olympiacos on Wednesday evening (67-61).

The Tangos, who are aiming for the Final Four, squandered a 15-point lead (54-39) at the end of the third quarter, leaving the Greeks to come back two lengths with 1 min 14 sec from the end (63-61) in Pool A.

Olympiacos even had two chances in the last minute to equalize or pass, but missed them. The second time, Berruyère rookie Yvonne Anderson caused a strong passage before scoring his two free throws 16 seconds from time (65-61) to secure his team’s success.

In pool B, Basket Landes on its entry side put a handicap in the race for the quarter-finals, beaten by the executioner of Villeneuve-d’Ascq during the preliminary round.
Weighed down by their three-point address (2 out of 14) and dominated on the rebound (33 taken from 42), the Landaises never raced in the lead and went too far (40-52 at the end of the 3rd quarter -time) to hope to come back at the end of the match.
